Astronaut Poem
Five brave astronauts floated into space
The first one disappeared without a trace
The second one somersaulted past the moon
The third one entered the atmosphere too soon
The fourth one took off counting ten to zero
And the fifth one landed safely like a hero.

Sailboat, rowboat, motor boat, too.
Moving through the waters so clear and blue.

Here comes the engine up the track.

Climb aboard the spaceship, we're going to the moon
Hurry and get ready, we're going to blast off soon

Down By The Station
Down by the station,
Early in the morning,
See the little pufferbellies,
All in a row.
See the station master,
Turn the little handle,
Puff, puff, choo, choo,
Off they go!

Helping Daddy Drive
Open the car door, climb inside
I get to help my daddy drive

If the road's clear, we may pass.

Here is a Car
Here is a car, shiny and bright.
This is the windshield that lets in the light.
Here are wheels that go round and round.
I sit in the back seat and not make a sound.

In The Car
We're going for a ride in somebody's car,

We'll sit in the back because it's safer there.

Let's Play Car
Time to take a little ride.
Open the door and get inside.
Now the engine starts to hum.
Shakes a bit, goes brr... brr... brrum!
Then the tires go around
Rolling faster on the ground.
Turn the steering wheel just so
To take us where we want to go.
Oh! It's raining, splattering down!
Hear the windshield wiper's sound.
Turn the lights on, see them blink?
Did you know headlights could wink?
My! This road is full of bumps.
Ups and downs, and oops, more jumps.
Our gas tank's low, our tires need air.
Look! A station over there!
Listen to the air pump ring -
Psht, psht, air goes in, then hear the ping!
From pump to hose to empty tank,
What a lot of gas we drank!
Time to run around and then,
Soon we'll all be home again.

Little Red Caboose
Little red caboose, chug, chug, chug.
Little red caboose, chug, chug, chug.
Little red caboose behind the train, train, train.
Smoke stack on his back, back, back.
Coming down the track, track, track.

Moon Ride
Do you want to go up with me to the moon?
Let's get in our rocket ship and blast off soon
Faster and faster we reach the sky
Isn't it fun to be able to fly?
We're on the moon and now take a look
And gently sit down and I'll show you a book.

Motor Boat
Motor boat, motor boat,
Putt, putt, putt.
Sailing boat, sailing boat,
Swish, swish, swish.
Big boat, big boat,
Splash, splash, splash.

Railroad Train
One is the engine, shiny and fine;
It pulls the coaches all in a line.
Two is the baggage car, big and strong;
It carries suitcases and trunks along.
Three is the express car, with double locks;
Send what you wish in a package or a box.
Four is the mail car, with much to do.
It carries letters to me and to you.
Five, six, seven, go all the way;
They carry people, both night and day.

Rocket Ship
Our rocket ship is standing by
And very, very soon,
We'll have a count-down, then we'll blast
Way up to reach the moon.
Begin to count: ten, nine, eight,
Be on time, don't be late.
Seven, six, five, and four.
There aren't many seconds more.
Three, two, one! Zero! Zip!
The rocket is off on its first moon trip.

Put on your space helmet,
Put on your space suit.
Strap an oxygen tank to your back.
We'll take a long trip
In our rocket ship.
Thousands of miles to the moon and back.

Row Your Boat

Gently down the stream,

Sad, Sad Bike
The wheels can't spin.
The seat shakes.
The chain has rust.
And the bike needs brakes!
Just last week
The kickstand broke.
And one wheel
Lost one spoke.
"Sad, sad bike!" said the girl.
"I'm on your side.
I'll fix you up.
And then we'll ride!"

School Bus
I go to the bus stop each day
Where the bus comes to take us away.
We stand single file
And walk down the aisle
When the bus driver talks, we obey.

The anchor on the ship goes up and down

The anchor on the bus, goes up and down
Across the blue ocean.
People on the ship... lots of fun
Captain on the ship... says, "All aboard!"

The Big Trucks (tune of This Old Man)
Over hill, over dale
They will ride along the trail
Through the mud and through the rain
Big trucks will come and go again.

The Car Ride
"Vroom!" says the engine
As the driver starts the car.
"Mmmm," says the windows
As the driver takes it far.
"Errr," says the tires
As it rounds the final bend.
"Ahhh," says the driver
As his trip comes to an end.

The Family Car
Sometimes I ride in the family car.
The engine jerks so we cannot go far.
Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop!
Pop, pop, pop! Juggle, jiggle, JAT!
What is the matter?
The tire is flat! Sssssssssssssssss!

Three Astronauts
One astronaut climbs up the stair
To the capsule hatch which we see there.
Two astronauts sit side by side.
Three astronauts prepare for the ride.
The first one says, "We have checked controls."
The second one says, "We will reach our goals."
The third one says, "Turn the oxygen on."
All three say, "We will soon be gone."
The first one says, "We have checked things well.
Our system is working. We can tell."
The second one says, "I hear the blasting sound.
Our ship is lifting off the ground."
The third one says, "We are high in the sky.
Already we have reached ten miles high."
Three astronauts sit quietly in place
All at their work in outer space.

Toot and Chug
Toot said the little boat sailing along
Chug, chug said the little train, I'm very strong
Zoom, zoom said the airplane as he flew away
But look at me, I can jump today.

Train
Here is the train and here is the track.
Choo-choo forward! Choo-choo back!
Here are the wheels going clackety-clack.
POOF! goes the smoke from the big smokestack!

For a train only goes where it's already been.

Tug Boat
Lift the gates up, keep them high!
Here comes the tug boat passing by.
Chug, chug, chug, it goes along.

We're flying to the moon, we're flying to the moon
Blast off, away we go
We're flying to the moon.
