A Delicious Cake
Mix the batter, stir the batter
Shake some flour in
Mix the batter, stir the batter,
Place it in a tin
Sprinkle little raisins on, pop batter in to bake
Open wide the oven door, and out comes a cake!
An Apple
An apple is what I'd like to be.
My shape would be round.
My color would be green
Children could eat me each and every day.
I'm good in tarts and pies and cake
An apple is good to eat or bake.
An Egg
This little child brought an egg
This one put it in the pan
This one sprinkled on the salt
This one flipped it in the pan
Little one said, with a grin
I will eat this egg if I can.
Apple Chant
I see apples all around.
Apples on the tree
Red, yellow green.
Apples on the ground.
Blue, purple, brown.
I see apples all around.
Apple Poem
Apples big, apples small
Guess what, I like them all
Apple Rhyme
Apples, apples, good to eat
Apples, apples, juicy and sweet
Pick them off a tree, buy them at a store
Apples, apples, we want more.
Apples (tune of Twinkle Twinkle)
Apple, apple tree so tall
I can hardly wait 'til fall
When your apples I can pick
Fill my basket, eat them quick
Apple, apple tree so tall
I can hardly wait 'til fall.
Apple, apple tree so fair
What do I see growing there
Green and round and plump and sweet
Soon they will be good to eat
Apple, apple tree so fair
What do I see growing there?
Apples (tune of Mulberry Bush)
Here we go round the apple tree,
The apple tree, the apple tree,
Here we go round the apple tree
So early in the morning.
This is the way we...
...climb the ladder
...pick the apples
...wash the apples
...peel the apples
...cook the apples
Apples
Apples big and juicy
Hanging from the tree
Apples red and rosy
Glossy as can be.
Apples are for cooking,
Pudding, sauce and pies.
Apples great for munching
A treat for you and I!
Applesauce (tune of Yankee Doodle)
Peel an apple, cut it up
Cook it in a pot
When you taste it you will find
It's applesauce you've got.
Apple Seed
I'm a little apple seed
Peeking through
Please help me.
I'll help you.
Dig me a hole
And hide me away.
And I'll be an apple tree
Some fine day.
Apple Up High (Twinkle Twinkle)
Apple, apple, way up high
I can reach you if I try
Climb a ladder, hold on tight
Pick you quickly take a bite
Apple, apple way up high
I can reach you if I try.
Bananas
Bananas are my favorite fruit
I eat one every day
I always take one with me
When I go out to play
It gives me lots of energy
To jump around and run
Bananas are my favorite fruit
To me they're so much fun!
Basic Food Groups (tune of Row Row)
Here are the food groups
Dairy, bread and meat
And don't forget that vegetables
Are important for you to eat

And you'll grow healthy and strong
Food nutrition is on the way.
Betty Botter
Betty Botter bought some butter.
"But," she said, "this butter's bitter.
If I put it in my batter,
It will make my batter bitter.
But a bit of better butter,
Will make my batter better."
So she bought a bit of butter,
Better than her bitter butter
And she put it in her batter,
And it made her batter better.
So 'twas better Betty Botter
Bought a bit of better butter.
Brown Buns
Five brown buns in a bakery shop
Five brown buns with sugar on the top
Along came a man with a penny in his hand
He took one bun and away he ran.
Four brown buns...
No brown buns in the bakery shop
No brown buns with sugar on top
Along came a man with a penny in his hand
He took one look and away he ran.

Climbing up the apple tree
Swinging on a limb

I'll wish a pair of sparrows wings
And fly away with you.

Who bought a currant bun and took it right away.

Big and round with some sugar on the top.
No one came with a penny to pay,
So close the baker's shop and have a baking day.

One fish finger - left all alone.
Take a big bite - now there's none!
Five Little Apples
Five little apples hung on a tree

So guess who came to eat
A caterpillar... munch, munch

The farmer didn't care
So guess who came to eat
A bird... munch, munch
Three little apples hung on a tree
The farmer didn't care
So guess who came to eat
A pig... munch, munch
Two little apples hung on a tree
The farmer didn't care
So guess who came to eat
A horse... munch, munch
One little apple hung on a tree
The farmer didn't care
So guess who came to eat
A scarecrow... munch, munch
Now the tree is bare
There are no more apples there
But when next fall comes around
Guess who'll be there
The caterpillar
The bird
The pig
The horse
And the scarecrow
Yum, yum.
Five Red Apples
Five red apples hanging in a tree
The juiciest apples you ever did see

Popping corn is lots of fun.

Away up high in an apple tree.
Two red apples smiled at me.
I shook that tree as hard as I could.

And m-m-m they were good!
Jam
There is apple jam for breakfast,
And blueberry jam for lunch.
There is cherry jam for dinner,

Is the one I like the most.

Round and round the beaters go
Add some flour from a cup
Stir and stir the batter up
Roll them, cut them, nice and neat

Bake them, count them, 1, 2, 3
Serve them to my friends for tea.

What's that food that smells so good?
Is it broccoli? Or is it macaroni?

My Apple
Look at my apple, it's red and round.
It fell from a tree down to the ground.
Come let me share my apple, please do!
My mother can cut it right in two -
One half for me and one half for you.
Our Vegetables
Many of our vegetables grow underneath the ground.
Some are small, some are large, some are long, or round.
The first one we call spinach, fresh, crisp, and green.
The second one is cabbage; the third one string bean.
The fourth one is a tomato, juicy, round, and red.
The fifth one is a radish, and I eat it with my bread.
The sixth one is a carrot, crunchy, sweet and long.
The seventh is an onion, and oh, but it is strong!
The eighth one is a squash; we'll cook it in a pan.
The ninth one is an ear of corn (but not corn in a can).
The tenth is a potato to mash or fry or bake.
What a delicious vegetable feast we will surely make.

A secret constellation
To scatter near and far.

Split the shiny ruby
And find the star inside.
The Pancake

Vegetables (tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb)
I'm a tomato, red and round, red and round, red and round.
I'm a tomato, red and round, seated on the ground.
I'm a corn stalk, tall and straight, tall and straight, tall
and straight,
I'm a corn stalk, tall and straight, and I taste just great.
Vegetables and Fruit
The food we like to eat that grows
On vines and bushes and trees.
Are vegetables and fruits my friends
Like cherries, grapes and peas.
Apples and oranges and peaches are fruits
And so are tangerines,
Lettuce and carrot are vegetables,
Like squash and beans.
