Farming

Animals on the Farm (tune of Wheels on the Bus)

The cow in the barn goes moo, moo, moo
Moo, moo, moo, moo, moo, moo
The cow in the barn goes moo, moo, moo
All day long.

The chickens in the coop go peck, peck, peck...

The geese on the farm go honk, honk, honk...

The turkey in the pen goes gobble, gobble, gobble...

The duck in the pond goes quack, quack, quack...

The pig in the pen goes oink, oink, oink...

Animals, What Do You Do
(tune of Frère Jacques)

Mr. Horse, Mr. Horse,
What do you do? What do you do?
I pull the wagons, I pull the wagons.
And give rides too, and give rides too.

Mrs. Cow, Mrs. Cow,
What do you do? What do you do?
I give milk, I give milk
That's good for you, that's good for you.

Mr. Dog, Mr. Dog,
What do you do? What do you do?
I watch the sheep, I watch the sheep,
And guard you too, and guard you too.

Farm Chores

Five little farmers woke up with the sun.
It was early morning and the chores must be done.
The first little farmer went out to milk the cow.
The second little farmer thought he'd better plow.
The third little farmer cultivated weeds.
The fourth little farmer planted more seeds.
The fifth little farmer drove his tractor round.
Five little farmers, the best that can be found.

Farmer Jones' Farm

One dog
Two cats
Three goats
Four bats
Five hens
Six cows
Seven geese
Eight sows
Nine sheep
Ten lambs
And hidden away where nobody sees
Are one hundred and fifty bees!

Jumping Tune

I went outside to sweep the shed
I made a mistake and swept my bed
I went to the barn to milk a cow
I made a mistake and milked the sow
I went to the farmyard to feed the goat
I made a mistake and fed the boat
I went to the kitchen to bake a pie
I made a mistake and baked a fly
I went inside to get some sleep
I made a mistake and sheared the sheep.

On the Farm

Here is a pig fat and round.
He uses his snout to dig up the ground.
Here is a turkey, and a rooster, too.
He crows with a "Cock-a-doodle-doo!"
Here is a cow who gives us milk.
Her nose is cold and soft as silk.
Here is a sheep, "Baa-baa" she goes.
She gives us the wool to make our clothes.
Here is a peeping baby duck.
Here is a hen that says, "Cluck, cluck!"

The Seed Cycle (tune of Farmer in the Dell)

The farmer sows his seeds, the farmer sows his seeds,
Hi-ho, the dairy-o, the farmer sows his seeds.
The wind begins to blow...
The rain begins to fall...
The sun begins to shine...
The seeds begin to grow...
The plants grow big and tall...
The farmer cuts his corn...
He puts it in his barns...
And now the harvest is in...

This is the Farm

This is the meadow where every day
Many farm animals come to play.
Here is the food that the farmer brings.
Hay and oats, and other good things.
Here is the great big watering trough.
They take a big drink and then scamper off.
Here are the shears that shear the sheep.
Here is the wool that the farmer will keep.
Here is the barn where they all unite
To rest themselves and sleep all night.
