100 Stars

I saw 100 stars last night
Shining in the sky
I wondered as I watched them,
How did they get so high?

A Kite

I often sit and wish that I
Could be a kite up in the sky,
And ride upon the breeze and go
Whichever way I chanced to blow.

April Shower

Mix a little sunshine
With an April shower
Drop it in a garden bed
And up pops a flower.

A Rainbow

Two little clouds one summer day
Went floating through the sky.
They went so fast they bumped their heads
And both began to cry.

Old Father sun looked out and said,
"Oh, never mind my dears,
I'll send some little fairy folk
To dry your falling tears."

One fairy came in purple
And one in indigo,
Green, orange, yellow, and red
They made a pretty row.

They wiped the clouds' tears all away
And then from out the sky,
Upon a line the sun beams made
They hung their gowns to dry.

Big Bubbles

Five big bubbles high up in the sky.
I tried to catch one as they went floating by.
"Stop!" I called, "Please, please, STOP!"
One came slowly down, and then went POP!
Four ...
No big bubbles high up in the sky.
They have all gone POP!

Blowing Wind

The wind, the wind,
Is passing through
Rustling leaves,
Whispering to the trees.
I'm the west wind,
I bring the summer rain,
When I blow softly,
I whisper your name.

Boom! Bang! Thunder!

Boom, bang, boom, bang
Rumpety, lumpety, bump!
Zoom, zam, zoom, zam
Clippety, clappety, clump
Rustles and bustles and swishes and zings
What wonderful noises a thunderstorm brings.


Bubbles, Bubbles

Bubbles, bubbles, everywhere,
Floating, popping in the air.
Look through them,
Grab them quickly,
Before they disappear.
Big bubbles, little bubbles,
All around the room,
Some float up and others go
BOOM!

We are very, very hot!"
Shall I take you off the fire?
"No, you need not trouble.
This is just the way we talk,

Falling Snow

See the pretty snowflakes
Falling from the sky,
On the walk and housetop

On the branches bare,

Filling all the air.
Look into the garden,
Where the grass was green,
Covered by the snowflakes,
Not a blade is seen.

Falling Star

I looked up at the dark night sky
And saw a falling star pass by
It died before it hit the ground
And to this day it can't be found

Four Little Stars

Four little stars winking at me
One shot off and then there were three
Three little stars with nothing to do

Two little stars afraid of the sun
One shot off and then there was one
One little star alone is no fun
It shot off and then there were none!

Friendly Kites

The first little kite that was sailing by,
Said, "Hi" to a yellow butterfly.
The second little kite sailed over the zoo,
And it said, "Hi" to a kangaroo.
The third little kite that is number three,
Said, "Hi" to a buzzing bumblebee.
The fourth little kite on a bright spring day
Said, "Hi" to a farmer pitching hay.
The fifth little kite that was flying free,
Said, "Hi" to a budding apple tree.
Swoosh! went the wind and they all took a dive:
1, 2, 3 and 4 and 5.

Do you hear the pitter patter
Hear the little raindrops falling down

Pictures

I see pictures in the bubbles, I blow in my bath.
I see pictures in the puddles, I walk in on my path.
It's not really pictures, that I think I see.
It's just my reflection, looking back at me.

Puddles

One puddle, two puddles made by the rain.

Eleven puddles, twelve puddles - we all need our boots!

From big black clouds
The raindrop fell.

Raindrops

Rainy Day

The Rain Cloud

There's a rain cloud in the sky.
Now it's drifting down.

Covering the town.

Raindrops splatter as they drop.
Go inside and don't get wet.
There are lots of splashes yet.

Run and find your little boat.

Zip yourself up with a snap!
