Because Ive got a cold, sir.
Where did you get the cold, sir?
Up at the North Pole, sir.
What were you doing there, sir?
Catching polar bears, sir.
How many did you catch, sir?
1, sir, 2, sir, 3, sir,

It's Winter
Cough, cough, sneeze, sneeze.
May I have a kleenex please?
Wet hair, damp clothes,
Frozen fingers, noses, toes.
Down-filled jackets bob about.
Felt-lined boots
Squelch in and out.
Mumps, bronchitis,
Sore throats, flu.
We're so cold,
We've all turned blue.
My House
I'm going to build a little house
With windows big and bright
With chimney tall and curling smoke
Drifting out of sight.
In winter when the snowflakes fall,
Or when I hear a storm,
I go inside my little house
Where I'll be snug and warm.
Old Man Winter
Old Man Winter,
Is icing up my toes,
Shivering my shoulders
Reddening my nose.
Old Man Winter,
Is watering my eyes,
Nipping at my fingers,
Feet and legs and thighs.
Old Man Winter,
Is really so unfair,
He hasn't left a bit of warmth
About me anywhere!
Sing a Song of Winter (to The More We Get Together)
Come sing a song of winter,
Of winter, of winter.
Come sing a song of winter,
The cold days are here.
With snowing and blowing
And rosy cheeks glowing
Come sing a song of winter
The cold days are here.
Snowball
One little, two little, three little snowballs,
Four little, five little, six little snowballs.
Seven little, eight little, nine little snowballs.
Ten snowballs too cold to hold.
The North Wind
The north wind doth blow,
And we shall have snow.
And what will poor robin do then?
Poor thing.
He'll sit in a barn,
To keep himself warm,
And hide his head under his wing,
Poor thing.
The Thermometer
A thermometer has a little red line.
It jumps up when the weather is fine.
But when it is cold, as everyone knows,
Down to the little round bulb it goes.
It scrunches all up in a tight little ball,
As if it can't stand the cold at all.
When the weather begins to change, why then
It carefully starts to climb again.
Warm Hands, Warm
Warm hands, warm
Do you know how?
If you want to warm your hands,
Warm your hands right now.
Winter
Grey days, freeze my feet
The world has curled up tight
To wait for spring.
Winter Is So Very Cold (tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb)
Winter is so very cold, very cold, very cold,
Winter is so very cold, with snowflakes falling down
Watch them as they drift and float, drift and float, drift and float
Watch them as they drift and float, to the winter ground.
Winter Signs
Winter signs are everywhere,
the winter winds are nipping,
winter snow is in my hair,
my winter nose is dripping.
